Meet our Secretariat
Yadavan Mahendraraj
Secretary-General
sec-gen@ilmunc.com
Yadavan is a junior from North Jersey studying Management and Business and Public Policy at the Wharton School with a minor in Political Science. During his six years of Model UN, Yadavan has attended over thirty conferences as a staffer and delegate and has never been more excited than he is for ILMUNC XXIX. In addition to the conference, Yadavan has been a head delegate for Penn’s third-ranked traveling MUN team, been on a board for Wharton’s consulting club, and served as the Under-Secretary-General for Crisis Simulations at ILMUNC XXVIII. Yadavan is thrilled to be your Secretary-General this year and promises a conference you’ll never forget.
Alice Kissilenko
Director-General
dir-gen@ilmunc.com
Alice is a senior in the Huntsman Program, a dual-degree track combining business in Wharton and international relations in the College of Arts and Sciences. She lives in New York and studied abroad in Cuba last fall, but her family is from Bulgaria. You can usually find her doing a New York Times Crossword puzzle or looking up new UNESCO sites to visit. This will be her eighth ILMUNC – four as a delegate and four on Secretariat. She's worked as a USG for the General Assembly for the past two years, and can't wait to see all those returning delegates again! Even though she's so sad that this will be her last ILMUNC ever, she knows that this will be the best one yet!
Morgan Motzel
Chief of Staff
staff@ilmunc.com
Morgan is a sophomore in the Huntsman Program for International Studies and Business, a dual-degree program between the College of Arts and Sciences and the Wharton School. Morgan hails from Saint Paul, MN, and she remembers first becoming interested in international affairs after developing an obsession with the National Geographic Bee in elementary school. In her free time, Morgan likes to pretend she speaks fluent Spanish and people-watch in Starbucks. She started her Model UN career last fall as an Assistant Secretary-General for ILMUNC XXVIII, and she is honored to serve as Chief of Staff for ILMUNC XXIX. She can't wait to welcome you all to Philadelphia in January for an unforgettable conference!
Stephanie Vabre
Chief of Operations
registration@ilmunc.com
Stephanie is a junior studying International Studies and Business in the Huntsman Program, a dual degree track at Penn. This is her seventh year doing Model UN, and her third year on the ILMUNC secretariat. She will be studying abroad in Lyon during the fall semester, and ILMUNC XXIX is the only reason she could possibly be looking forward to coming back from the south of France. In her minimal life outside of school and planning ILMUNC, she enjoys trying new recipes, doing crossword puzzles, and exploring Philadelphia's fantastic food scene (and encourages you to do so as well!)
Jeffrey Nadel
Business Director
business@ilmunc.com
Jeffrey is a sophomore in the College of Arts and Sciences, majoring in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics. Growing up in South Florida, he has been involved in Model UN since his freshman year of high school. He has served as the President of the National Youth Rights Association, a youth-led civil rights organization, for the last two years and now leads the organization's chapter in Philadelphia. Having attended ILMUNC XXVII as a senior in High School, Jeffrey had the privilege of serving as an Assistant Secretary-General for ILMUNC XXVIII in January 2012. As Business Director, he is motivated to do all that he can to make this year's ILMUNC not only the best in the conference's history, but the highest quality, most fun, and overall best Model UN conference in the world. Jeffrey is incredibly excited to meet everyone this year, and he wishes all delegates and faculty advisors an amazing conference.
Paula Berenguer
Under-Secretary-General, General Assembly
usg-ga@ilmunc.com
Paula is a sophomore in the Huntsman Program, a dual-degree track that includes majors in both international studies and business. Although she now lives in New York, Paula grew up in New Mexico, Germany, and Spain. She had an incredible time getting involved in Model UN by serving as an Assistant Secretary-General for ILMUNC XXVII and loved interacting with all of the secretariat, staff, and delegates. She is so excited to be the Under Secretary-General for General Assemblies and can’t wait to make this the best conference to date for all of you!

After serving as an Assistant Secretary-General for ILMUNC last year (and loving every minute of it), she is very excited to be returning as an Under Secretary General for Specialized Agencies. Although he was born outside of Philadelphia, Tarek grew up in the Poconos, in Northeastern Pennsylvania. He enjoys hiking, camping, and pretending that playing harmonica makes him a musician. Although he was a member of his high school’s Model UN club, this is only his second ILMUNC. After serving as an Assistant Secretary-General at ILMUNC XXVIII, he is delighted to be a part of ILMUNC XXIX as an Under Secretary-General for Crisis Simulations.
